If only I was that hip

So being in Rockefeller Center has its advantages. Unfortunately tonight is not one of them. The annual MTV Music Video Award Show is at Radio City Hall which is in the next building. For the last couple of days I've heard Fergie's London Bridge coming down over and over again. She was rehearsing. Tonight they've transformed the plaze usually held by NBC's Today's Show into RED CARPET holy ground. I can hear the screams of thousands of silly girls.

Unfortunately being tenants of Rockefeller gets you no where.
You still have to be somebody to get closer then what I got. I used Zoom.

My Wonderful Boss

Here's a picture of my boss, Nick Tasto.
He's Irish, can you tell? They couldn't cast anyone better for an Irish guy.
Nick is really cool. Excellent manager and so darn good at his job.
It's so nice to be working for and with someone who is good.

More blush

Apparently the resort where Hyun & Eugene is getting married doesn't have an on-premise makeup artist and no makeup artist in Arizona wants to come out to do two persons. Sure it would have been nice to have a pro do the makeup since then it would be one less thing to think about for bride and her maid-of-honor (me). But it's not the end of the wedding. We'll just end up doing what many women have done in their weddings; we'll do it ourselves. Actually since the bride will be totally incapacitated, I will do it for both of us.

Luckily Hyun got in contact with Heidi who informed her that Eumi also did that with the help of Makeup Forever. They provide makeup lessons for brides. It's $85 but fee can be applied to product purchase. So in three hours we got ourselves "dolled-up." It was good. They showed and explained. Hopefully we'll remember on the wedding day. Hyun's makeup artist was extra helpful. She has a contact in AZ that may be able to find a makeup artist for Hyun at her wedding. She tried during our sessions but was only able to leave a message. Guess the person with the 411 is on vacation and will be back on Tuesday. Hyun's artist promised to follow-up and let her know on Tuesday. Wasn't that sweet of her?

As I was saying, the makeup was good. Hyun looked so pretty. She liked it so much she bought the whole inventory. She was due to replace her ancient makeups. The lipstick she got was awesome. That was a good deal. Oh but don't get me started on her eyebrows. Magic product. I got one for myself.

Well I took pictures when I got home, 6 hours later. It held up but the light didn't. So I attempted in weak bathroom lights. I think I look weird but hey, you weren't there.

Goodbye Harlem

It's weird seeing it so empty. Oh well.

Boys from work

So you've been asking if there are any cute guys at work. Well you decide. Here are a few of the younger guys seen here in the company's basketball team. (They finished the season and unfortunately didn't win the championship.) If you care to visit, please make an appointment. =)

Bored with unpacking

Our downstairs' neighbor, who moved only a few weeks before we did, said that to us yesterday. He's "bored" with unpacking. I believe my sister also agrees. I, however, am not yet bored but I am very, very exhausted. I didn't think there was something beyond exhaustion until this weekend. I realize that I've surpassed this stage because it's still not yet done. It feels like there is no end and there probably isn't. There will always be improvements big at first and little continuously.

There's definitely progress.
Our contractor is almost finished. He has a few last retouches.
We're waiting for last piece of furniture, our sofa, to be delivered. Due date 9/9/06.
We still have tons of trash to take out since we just went to Ikea, The Container Store and Home Depot. We aren't finished either. We forgot a few things.

I will take pictures and post it, I promise.
But right now you'll have to excuse me. I'm just too tired.
